Riverside Mukolitta is brought to life by writer and director OGIGAMI Naoko who is known for her meditative and intimate style of filmmaking. Ogigami explores themes of life and death through poignant and introspective dramas like Kamome Diner and Megane. This continues with her 2021 film: Riverside Mukolitta. 

The story follows Takeshi Yamada (MATSUYAMA Kenichi), who moves to a quiet village in the Hokuriku region. As he adjusts to his new life, Takeshi finds meaning and joy in the small moments shared around the dinner table with his newfound neighbors.
