When returning from her travels, Olie hosts herself a 'Welcome Home' gathering. After realising that her group of friends haven't changed in the time she's been away, she is shockingly reintroduced to her ex-crush, Annabel. Despite Olie's newly-found confidence, she struggles to bury her feelings for Annabel, causing a bond to reform and Olie to fight against the trauma Annabel had once caused. Olie's obsessive lust for Annabel becomes clear through elements of her subconscious, heightening the absurd repetition of this dreaded connection that Annabel gains control of throughout the evening.
