Roger Michell (My Cousin Rachel, Notting Hill) directs this remake of the Danish film, SILENT HEART, in which Lily (Susan Sarandon) and Paul (Sam Neill) host a festive holiday weekend for family and closest friends. Although unresolved issues surface between mother and daughters Jennifer (Kate Winslet) and Anna (Mia Wasikowska), Lily’s story is ultimately one of hope, love and a celebration of life.

ROGER MICHELL - DIRECTOR


Roger has an extensive background in professional theatre, but in the early nineties he began his directing career for television and film. He is best known for his television work on the award-winning mini-series Buddha of Suburbia, and The Lost Honour Of Christopher Jefferies. His film work includes Persuasion, Titanic Town, My Night with Reg, Notting Hill, Changing Lanes, The Mother, Enduring Love, Venus, Le Weekend, My Cousin Rachel, Tea With The Dames, and Morning Glory. Roger recently completed the feature film The Duke, which stars Helen Mirren and Jim Broadbent.


BEX TAYLOR-KLAUS - ACTOR


Bex currently stars in the Netflix comedy, Dumplin' opposite Jennifer Aniston and Danielle MacDonald, and recently starred in the horror film Hellfest for CBS FILMS. Television fans will recognize Bex from AMC’s critically acclaimed The Killing, the CW’s Arrow, Showtime’s House of Lies, MTV’s Scream: The TV Series, and in Netflix’s Voltron: Legendary Defender, an ode to the 1980’s icon cartoon series and action figures.


Bex, who identifies as gender non-binary is making a huge wave for gender non-conforming artists in mainstream media, and works closely with LGBTQ+ organizations like GLAAD.


LINDSAY DUNCAN - ACTOR


Lindsay is an award-winning actress well known for her extensive stage career, having won numerous Tony and Olivier Awards. Her film credits include the Oscar and Golden Globe award-winning film Birdman alongside Michael Keaton, Marc Webb’s Gifted, Roger Michell’s Le Weekend, Richard Curtis’ About Time co-starring with Bill Nighy, and Tim Burton’s Alice Through the Looking Glass. Lindsay recently appeared in Sky One’s A Discovery of Witches television series. Additional TV work includes Clementine Churchill in Churchill’s Secret, Frau Bellinghaussen in Stephen Poliakoff’s Closer to The Enemy, Grace in HBO’s critically acclaimed The Leftovers, and Lady Smallwood in BBC’s award-winning Sherlock.

 

ANSON BOON - ACTOR


Anson has extensively worked in television, and his credits include All At Sea for the BBC, The Alienist starring Dakota Fanning and Luke Evans for TNT and Netflix, the ITV series Endeavour, and Living The Dream for Sky One / Now TV. In addition to appearing in Blackbird, Anson's recent film credits include Sulphur & White with Anna Friel and Dougray Scott,

and Alexandre Aja's Crawl for Paramount Pictures.
