The thrilling true story of Joseph Piller (Claes Bang) who was fighting in the Dutch Resistance during WWII while flamboyant artist Han van Meegeren (Guy Pearce) was throwing parties and selling art to top Nazis. Afterwards, van Meegeren becomes a national hero for having swindled the Nazis with forged paintings by Johannes Vermeer. Piller becomes an investigator identifying and redistributing stolen art, resulting in van Meegeren being accused of art forgery and collaboration — a crime punishable by death.

CLAES BANG - Actor
Claes Bang is a Danish actor, based in Copenhagen. Trained at Denmark’s National Theatre School, he is a familiar face on stage and screen in Northern Europe. His breakout role was Christian in Ruben Östlund’s The Square, winner of the 2017 Cannes Palme d’Or. The film was also nominated for an Oscar, and Claes won Best Actor in the European Film Awards.
Claes can currently be seen starring in Dracula for the BBC and Netflix. In 2019, he starred alongside Elizabeth Debicki, Mick Jagger, and Donald Sutherland in The Burnt Orange Heresy, and in 2018 appeared with Claire Foy in The Girl in the Spider’s Web. This year he will star with Olga Kurylenko and Brian Cox in The Bay of Silence, directed by Paula van der Oest.
His television credits include the popular series Borgen, The Bridge, the German series Sibel & Max, and the Showtime series The Affair.
VICKY KRIEPS - Actor
2019 was one of Vicky’s most exciting years, with her global success in the Academy Award nominated Phantom Thread, and The Girl in the Spider’s Web. She recently reprised her role as Simone Strasser in Bavaria Fiction’s TV mini-series DAS BOOT, leading a cast of Germany’s most renowned talent. Vicky is set to star with Ben Foster and Danny DeVito in Academy-Award winner Barry Levinson’s biographical drama HARRY HAFT.
DAN FRIEDKIN - Director/Producer
Dan is the principal and co-founder of Imperative Entertainment, an entertainment company that develops, produces and finances original & branded entertainment focusing on film, television, documentaries and podcasts. He executive produced the Academy Award nominated and Palme d’Or winning film The Square, and the Academy Award nominated film All The Money In The World.
Friedkin served as a producer on The Mule, directed by Clint Eastwood; starring Eastwood and Bradley Cooper for Warner Bros., and he is making his directorial film debut with The Last Vermeer, which premiered at the 2019 Telluride Film Festival.
He is active in U.S. and global wildlife conservation initiatives, and philanthropic initiatives in both aviation and education. Dan is chairman-emeritus of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission, chairman of the Friedkin Conservation Fund, and a trustee of the Wildlife Conservation Society.
Dan is a skilled pilot, and flies a variety of high-performance vintage military aircraft, performing in aerobatic airshows with the U.S. Air Force, and the Horsemen P-51 Flight Team. Friedkin is one of only nine civilian Heritage Flight pilots qualified to fly information with U.S. Air Force single-ship demonstration teams.

Pete is currently the Chief Film Critic for Deadline Hollywood. For the past 9 years he has also been Awards Editor and Columnist for Deadline where he covers the Oscar and Emmy Seasons.
