Meet William, follow him to a climate strike, and find out why he is so passionate about urging the government to take care of our planet.

Juror comments: I immediately fell in love with this dear boy and his message. This short film is exactly the type of message that we love to spread at KIDS FIRST! Film Festivals – for younger as well as older audiences and it is so beautifully made.

Eight-year-old William has a message to share about the natural world and his appreciation of it – from the trees to the flowers to the birds. William narrates this short film but he is accompanied outdoors by his family members.

The camera work is exquisite from the outdoor shots to the close-ups of William as he delivers his narrative. He speaks clearly, in a British accent (since he is from Great Britain), and delivers his message with conviction. I love the shot with him embracing a tree. We gaze at his serene face filled with appreciation and love.

The message is to “take care of your planet and it will take care of you” – plain and simple.

I give Climate Strike & Turn Vegetarian 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 5 to 12, plus adults. Reviewed by Julie S., KIDS FIRST!
