This film is about Sebastian Salsbury, a fourteen-year-old who goes on an epic run across the Grand Canyon together with professional mountain runner max King and two friends.

I love when Max King agrees to follow the 15-year-old youth trail runner Sebastian Salsbury along with his friends Jess Brazeau and Jim Walmsley on an adventure running across the Grand Canyon. Max has already run in 20 ultra-marathons and 30 trail races. The camerawork is incredible; the filmmakers captured breathtaking close-ups of wildlife as well as awesome landscapes from the canyon as they capture the natural beauty of the mountains, sky, and weather in and around the canyon. Max is a professional runner who teaches youth and adults trail running in camps that bear his name. The background music is absolutely enchanting and keeps a constant pace going throughout the film. The songs that stand out are when they are going through their journey as a team to reach the Grand Canyon. I've never been to the Grand Canyon and, watching this film gave me an opportunity to see and be inspired by it. The Grand Canyon looks like a huge majestic painting with jaw-dropping mountains. My favorite part is when Sebastian calls Max King and Max agrees to come along on the adventure. Max King is a legendary American ultra-marathon runner, mountain adventurer.

The message of this documentary is that running is just one of the ways that we can connect people to the outdoors.

I give Sebastian and Max's Grand Canyon 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 6 to 18, plus adults. Reviewed by Rosabella P., KIDS FIRST!
