Lena is a 20-year-old woman who lives in Athens, works at a local supermarket, and lives with her family. As their home is poor, always messy, and full of tension, she wants to move out and start a life of her own. Everything changes for Lena when she gets fired from her job and, at the same time, finds out that she is pregnant. Life in a Beat is a realistic, anthropocentric story, harsh and tender at the same time. What if keeping her baby is the only way to keep her job?

Amerissa Basta lives in Athens and works in Communications at Publication Industry. She has studied Communication and Mass Media and holds an MA in Cultural Management (Panteion University, Athens).
