Nova Scotia’s Man of Steel is a short documentary about master bladesmith Rick Marchand, who moved from Southern Ontario to Lunenburg, NS, with his family. Marchand is one of the top bladesmiths in the world. He hand-forges knives, swords and other bladed tools and weapons for practical use, art collectors and for Hollywood prop makers. His blades have appeared in such films as The War for the Planet of the Apes and Jungle Cruise. Nova Scotia's Man of Steel came out of a feature article in Maritime Edit Magazine, which was written by the film’s director, Barrett Hooper.
