Syria Relief is a UK based charity that campaigns to raise awareness and money to help the millions of victims of the devastating decade long war in Syria. 2021 marks the grim anniversary of the conflict so the charity approached us to create an animated film that marked the milestone and helped to raise awareness and money as part of a wider appeal.
One of the more heartbreaking factors of this war is the disproportionate effect the conflict has had on women and children. The destruction of homes and communities has led to mass displacement of people, huge rises in homelessness and a lack of access to education, or a basic standard of living for millions of children.
To help to bring this to life and to visualise the unbelievable duration of the conflict we tell the story from the point of view of a 10 year old child, whose whole life has been lived in war, and who’s known nothing but disruption and devastation.
