This is the story of a man named Vitalis. He could be a fictional character fulfilling his life as one fulfills a destiny, thirsty for novelty, braving death to feel ever more alive. But Vitalis is only a man and he is going to die. A character from his own fiction, he led his life with death always in mind.

Filmed through the window of the filmmaker’s studio during a three-month residency at the Cité internationale des Arts in Paris in 2017, the experimental short feature merges personal diary entries with anecdotes and dreams to make sense of a world at the time of President Trump’s inauguration.
