ZONA takes place in a speculative Los Angeles, where a drought has worsened. A neighbor stops by her apartment hoping that Kana has water to spare. Kana refuses, but when an auspicious omen occurs, she’s compelled to brave the city to secure water for her neighbor. Ultimately, this story gives voice to those who already live on the margins and face limited resources but decide to hold on to their humanity and share what they can with each other.
