You probably know someone like Rosa – she’s the mainstay, underpaid employee who somehow does the work of four people, slogging away to the save the day for a company that barely knows she exists. Rosa is the one taking care of her aging parent’s daily little needs, because all her siblings are too busy with their own lives. Rosa’s friends and neighbors ask her to do their most inconvenient errands for them, because she’s just too nice to say “no”…
Rosa’s 45th birthday is coming up, and she’s never lived a day for herself. But all that changes when Rosa suddenly elopes and runs off to the small beach town of her childhood, where she is determined to get married to the person she realizes she must learn to love the most: herself. Rosa’s Wedding has a spectacular amount of laughs, as shocked family members and friends slowly adjust to Rosa’s internal transformation, all the while trying to figure out why they are getting destination wedding invitations (especially Rosa’s long-term, clueless boyfriend).
