The projection screen is a threshold, materializing untraveled paths, far-away pasts, and surprising discoveries. The four portals in this program open to the Amber Mountains of Romania; an immigrant home in Oakland; heart lands across the midwestern US; and ancestral lands of the Nakhi tribe in Lijiang, China. These poetic journeys revive dormant knowledges and connections, creating opportunities for discarded ways of being in the world to become real again.
