An incarcerated crew fights fires for 70¢ an hour. A housebound mother struggles against the celebration of matrescent martyrdom. Observing and reenacting daily routines where human potential is bought and sold, these projects document their own production in contested terrain, confronting the exploitations of capitalist culture on the clock.

As the UK overhauls its benefits system, three disabled people navigate a hostile bureaucracy that demands constant proof of disability in order to access support. Through re-edited interviews and speculative imagery, the film reveals how enforced visibility restricts care. As an alternative, the film imagines aesthetic interdependence as a radical form of resistance.
