Frieda Wolff was a German Jewish researcher who escaped Nazi persecution by immigrating to Brazil before the start of WWII. In 1969, after finding financial stability and success, she and her husband quit their business activities to dedicate themselves full-time to researching the history of Jewish people in Brazil, resulting in more than 40 published books on the subject. Inspired by an extended interview recorded with Frieda in 2003, her friend Milton Weintraub continued building on Frieda’s research where she left off, continuing her legacy of documenting and studying the history of the Brazilian Jewish community.
