This innovative and captivating dance film, three decades in the making, beautifully conveys themes of resilience, connection, and hope. Originally presented as a live choreodrama in both the former Yugoslavia and New York City, it chronicles a heroine's life journey from her school days to the challenges of living in a ghetto, her deportation to a concentration camp, and her eventual immigration to the United States. With a remarkable ensemble of 15 virtuoso performers and an original musical score and design, Sh'ma: A Story of Survival offers a true cinematic experience.
