OFFICIAL SELECTION -- 2025 MIAMI JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL

Between 1933 and 1945, over a hundred Jewish musicians fleeing Germany and Austria found refuge in Argentina, where they revived their careers in the country's theaters, orchestras, radio stations, conservatories, tango venues, and film studios. Musicologist Silvia Glocer delves into their stories, recovers their works, and interviews their descendants, culminating in a grand concert she organizes to honor these nearly forgotten figures.

The Screening the Holocaust Series is presented in collaboration with the Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach, the Holocaust Teacher’s Institute, and the University of Miami’s Sue and Leonard Miller Center for Contemporary Judaic Studies.
