The Last Stand revisits one of the most defining and harrowing moments of October 7th, when dozens of Hamas terrorists stormed the Sderot police station and only a small band of officers stood between them and total devastation. Through first-hand testimonies, raw video footage, and chilling communication recordings, the film reconstructs the intense, day-long battle that ended with an unthinkable choice: to destroy the station itself rather than let it remain in enemy hands.
To visualize a building that no longer exists—the station was bombed and razed just a day after the assault—the filmmakers painstakingly crafted a detailed, dollhouse-scale replica. Around this model, surviving officers—some still bearing the physical scars of that day—share deeply personal memories of courage, loss, and resilience. Their stories—of rushing from homes and synagogues into danger, of heartbreaking rescues like two young sisters saved amid tragedy—offer a profoundly human lens on the unimaginable.
Powerful, unflinching, and deeply moving, The Last Stand is essential viewing—a testament to heroism, sacrifice, and the fragile line between chaos and order.
