The ninth Mother Tongue Film Festival adopted the theme of finding balance, focusing on stories of creating harmony in our communities and among ourselves. The 2024 programming featured twenty-five languages from twelve regions with themes of embracing cultural traditions while adapting to inevitable changes in culture, identity, and belief.
Closing our tenth festival, we have two films that touch us through time. We hope you enjoy these beautifully captured films: Mother’s Tongue and We Are Still Here.
El noveno Festival de Cine de la Lengua Materna adoptó el tema de encontrar el equilibrio, centrándose en historias sobre la creación de armonía en nuestras comunidades y entre nosotros. La programación de 2024 incluyó 25 lenguas de 12 territorios con temas relacionados con tradiciones culturales y la adaptación a cambios inevitables en la cultura, la identidad y las creencias.
