Here is a 77-min collection of four long-form narrative shorts from around the world.
ADVANCED DELVONICS - In this stop-motion sci-fi tale, a character wakes up with no memory after surviving a storm. Given the name “T”, they find themselves helping a team that travels across the many universes. “T” eventually learns that this team – Advanced Delvonics – fixes the degrading universes by merging parts of adjacent universes to keep them whole. Advanced Delvonics seems to have good intentions, but “T” isn’t quite so sure.
SHAMAN - Welcome to Neo-Budapest, capitol of Hungary sometime in the near future! In this city of total collapse lives Lens, a young but dying seer. For good money -- using a hallucinogenic drug called "Shaman" -- he burns his visions of "the other side" onto photographic paper. When a private detective knocks on his door with a potential cure for Lens' illness, he shoots up some "Shaman" to find an important woman who's gone missing. Following the pictures on the photos, they embark on a journey into the apocalyptic ruins of Old-Budapest. But soon, Lens must decide what he’s willing to sacrifice to in order to save his own life. In Hungarian with English subtitles
THE HOUSESITTERS - Erin and Matt are best friends, underemployed entertainers, and terrible housesitters. And when they find themselves staying at the site of an infamous murder, they begin to wonder if someone is trying to recreate the crime. Think “Will & Grace” meets “The Strangers.”
THE OPERATOR - The Operator follows Michael, a client contact associate as he starts another dull day of business as usual. Connecting long distance intergalactic calls from a remote satellite (not as exciting as it sounds); a bleary eyed and coffee fueled Michael receives a distress call. No one ever receives a distress call. They barely touch on distress calls during the induction day.

Director Biography - Matt Riley

Matt Riley is a Director of Photography based in Bristol in the southwest of the UK. The Operator is the first film he's written and directed. The Operator is an allegory for my own experience of learning about the true extent of the climate crisis, and how helpless and ill equipped a person can feel. It explores the notion of "Climate Grief" as the world heads towards a series of climate and ecological tipping points. His day job is that of a DP the technical side of the story telling was very important to me, camera movement and lighting cues are integral to the narrative and the way the story unfolds for an audience.
