Director Biography - Matthew Barber, Nathaniel Barber
Twin brothers Matthew and Nathaniel Barber are writers and directors best known for their short horror films Go Back (2019), No One Is Coming (2020), and Specter of Weeping Hill (2021). The brothers received their Associates Degree in Screenwriting and Directing from the Colorado Film School in 2014. They continued their studies at the University of North Texas where Matthew graduated Magna Cum Laude and Nathaniel graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Radio, Television and Film in 2016.
In 2019 the Barber Brother’s short Go Back was an Official Selection at Sitges Film Festival, Cinepocalypse Genre Film Festival and numerous other fests. Go Back went on to win Best International Short Film at STUFF MX Film Festival and the Audience Award Runner-Up for Best Short Film at Popcorn Frights. It was also nominated Best Horror Short of 2019 at the Spotlight Film Awards. Their short film "No One Is Coming" went on to win Best Filmmaker Duo at the 2020 Atlanta Horror Film Festival, Best Horror Short/Thriller at GenreBlast Film Festival, and Best Horror Short at Deep In The Heart Film Festival.
