Director Biography - Meg Swertlow

MEG SWERTLOW is a high-spirited and high-energy screenwriter and director who uses her voice to tell thrilling female-forward stories. Meg’s mission is to empower women to dare to be bold. Meg shot eight short films in two years. Her award-winning short films have been featured in over 30 top genre film festivals. In August 2022, Meg wrote and directed a short film in an all-female-directed anthology feature, Give Me an A, which is executive produced by Tasha Halevi and stars Alyssa Milano, Gina Torres and Jason George. At the end of 2022, Meg was selected for Ryan Murphy's Half Initiative Director Shadowing Program, where she shadowed an episode of a Ryan Murphy show at nine-months pregnant. The feature screenplay of No Overnight Parking was selected for Blumhouse and K Period Media's inaugural "Screamwriting" lab, where she was mentored by Kevin Williamson and Couper Samuelson. After graduating Hamilton College in New York with a degree in theater, Meg went back home to her native Los Angeles and wrote breaking news for major entertainment outlets, Entertainment Tonight and E! News, for a decade. Meg likes talking a lot, dancing a lot, wearing glitter a lot and being a lot of fun.
