Director Biography

JAMES III is a director, writer, and actor, best known for co-creating/co-starring in ASTRONOMY CLUB: THE SKETCH SHOW produced by Kenya Barris and Dan Powell. James' recent credits include rewrites of the GOOD BURGER sequel, writer/voice actor on the BIG MOUTH spin-off, HUMAN RESOURCES, and co-writer/co-star of the short film MAHOGANY DRIVE which premiered at Slamdance ‘23. James’ other writing credits include features in development at Tyler Perry Studios and Marginal Media, and comics for Dynamite, Mad Cave, and Archie including BOB PHANTOM, which Screenrant called “genius.” James is also the founder of the media production and comic book publishing company, Rule of III, Inc. As an actor, he's had guest appearances on A BLACK LADY SKETCH SHOW, ABBOTT ELEMENTARY, I THINK YOU SHOULD LEAVE, and BLACK MIRROR.
