Join us for a presentation by Stephen Hamner, Division Director of Film at the Louisiana Office of Entertainment Industry Development, as he provides an update on the current status of the motion picture industry in Louisiana. This is a live presentation, to be followed by a brief Q&A period open to virtual audience members. The Louisiana Office of Entertainment Industry Development's mission is to create jobs for Louisiana residents and encourage development in Louisiana of a strong capital base for motion picture production to achieve a sustainable, self-supporting industry.
Stephen Hamner
Stephen Hamner is the Division Director of Film at the Louisiana Office of Entertainment Industry Development. The program has greatly raised Louisiana’s profile within the motion picture industry. Louisiana is a top destination for feature length motion picture production, and supports in excess of 40 annual productions on average. Stephen began his career in public accounting as an Internal Auditor with one of the Big 4 accounting firms, and went on to become a Senior Consultant with the largest Louisiana based public accounting firm, before serving as an Internal Audit Manager with the Louisiana Workforce Commission. He has a diverse background including Sarbanes Oxley implementation, internal audit, process improvement, internal controls reviews, policy development, SAS 70, and Medicaid cost report auditing. Over the course of his career he has worked with clients in the manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, insurance, airline, and funeral industries. Stephen is a Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Fraud Examiner.
