In non-Covid times we’d show this piece as a first-person, room-scale, atmospheric exploration in VR. The artist has generously offered us this lovely walkthrough of the interactive experience in its place.
Y no había luz is a performance troupe based in Santurce, San Juan. Every year YNHL travels to the town of Orocovis in the center of Puerto Rico, often known as the heart of the island. In this episode, YNHL’s members explain how they re-wrote the fable of Orocovis’s mango tree after Hurricane Maria, and they perform their new story.
