Busi is forced to move back to Alexander Township to live with her domestic worker mother, Pretty, after living a Westernised and privileged life with Lisa, her mother’s ex-employer. Lisa enrolls Busi at a new elite school in Sandton. The difference in social class between her and her peers becomes evident, and she is left feeling like an outsider. Hope is soon restored though, when she meets Matt, the school’s golden boy. Busi lies about her identity and even makes changes to her physical appearance, until one day she comes face to face with her lie, and a difficult choice to make about who she is.

Après avoir vécu une vie occidentalisée et privilégiée avec l'ex-employeur de sa mère, Busi revient à la maison. Un choc qu’elle perçoit comme un retour en arrière. Du coup Busi ment sur son identité et modifie même son apparence physique, jusqu'au jour où elle se retrouve face à face avec son mensonge et un choix difficile à faire.
