    Lauren Pruitt (she/her) is a Colombian-American Filmmaker and Cinematographer versed in narrative storytelling through motion pictures. She made her first short film at age 16 entitled “I Always Pictured You Outside” (26 min), studied screenwriting at UT Austin (BA’ 09), and has worked in the camera department on nearly twenty feature films over the past decade. Lauren’s mission is to connect audiences on a visceral level through collective empathy with cinematic visuals and storytelling. Growing up in south-central Texas exposed her to the great divide between American and immigrant life and her work strives to represent those left marginalized including Latinx women.
