In Luminous,  a restless security guard, Lou, is forced to decide between his job at the research facility and the fate of humanity when he is confronted by the mysterious Dr. Sharp and the truth of what he is guarding.

Luminous stars Jesse Borrego (Fame, Fear the Walking Dead) as "Lou;" Desiree Segura as "Dr. Sharp;" Jonathan Flanders as "the broadcaster;" Jaxie Niles Arguello as "Jaxie," the artificial intelligence control system at Luminous Labs; and Kacie LaCombe as "Claire," the resistance fighter. The visual effects are created by Emmy award winning artist, Jarrod Davis (Firefly, Battlestar Galactica). 

The film was awarded a grant from the City of San Antonio's Department of Arts and Culture and the San Antonio Film Commission. This film is part of the Spotlight on San Antonio in association with the San Antonio Film Society and Alamo City Studios.
