LOCAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL (in partnership with Sheridan Alumni)

Rating PG.

Short films from Oakville, Sheridan College and surrounding communities. This screening will include a Q&A to follow live with filmmakers.

When Emily comes to terms with her sexuality, she struggles with the pressure of her religious mother and her church to conform to their ideals. But Emily is determined to be who she wants to be, and wants nothing more than to tell her mother the truth so that she can stop lying to her.

Through deep conversations with her girlfriend, Jane, Emily realizes just how much her life might change. Just as she begins second guessing her decision to come out, her mother catches her with Jane.

As Emily’s life is turned upside down, she must decide between her faith and her mother or being true to herself.
