A working-class fable about a biker, a mermaid and three shades of blue. Jena Malone plays a swimming star whose Olympic dreams were dashed by an unplanned pregnancy. She is reunited 15 years later with her high-school sweetheart (played by Pablo Schreiber) who is an ex-con newly released from prison trying to fit back in. The realities of working-class life, family strife, and shattered dreams make their presence felt.
