An emotionally estranged mother-daughter duo clean out the family’s grandmother’s apartment in the aftermath of her death. The rift between them grows, until Mama gains a new understanding of her own late mother, and in doing so, finds a path towards reconciling their differences. In facing the loss of their connection to their culture, the duo forge a new and deeper link to their heritage within each other.
