Saving his family from a ballistic missile may be the only way to save himself... Ex-Navy Seal John Taverner (Philip Winchester) is battling his demons. After a night of partying, he comes home and goes through his usual routine of over-drinking and passing out on the couch only to be awoken by a brain-rattling alarm on his phone, sending him crashing off the couch and onto the floor. He searches through the beer can littered table to find his phone. It reads:

8:07 A.M. - JANUARY 13th EMERGENCY ALERT: BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAT INBOUND TO HAWAII. SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. But before he can process this, his phone rings. Heather (Katrina Law), John's wife, from whom he is recently separated, is calling. Heather and their two young children need his help. Saving them from this disaster is John's chance to reunite his family. In a mad dash, John grabs his gun, some cash and of course his survival gear. He loads them in the truck and races across town, enduring the mayhem of Honolulu's frenzy. John's truck screeches into Heather's driveway. He then rushes into the house, gathers his family, and together they brave pandemonium on their way to the harbor.

Sailing off the island is the only way John can keep his family safe from the incoming missile and its nuclear fallout. The single obstacle standing in their way is a beast of a man who's already laying claim to their vessel. John approaches the man at the boat hoping to reason with him. They battle mentally and physically, but unfortunately, it doesn't end well for John's adversary. Shortly after John and his family depart the harbor, John's phone blares with another emergency alarm. He reluctantly fishes it from his pocket, reads the alert and is both conflicted and overwhelmed. Heather, filled with anticipation, joins John on the boat's deck and begs John for an update. He hesitantly shows her the phone. Heather, overloaded by the surge of emotions pumping through her veins, stares intently at John. The shoreline disappears with each passing second as they sail farther and farther away...
