Thank you for joining URBAN.Boston for a screening of On These Grounds, available starting on November 27 at 6:00 pm ET.

On Tuesday, November 30 at 6:00 pm ET, join a post-film discussion on Zoom at https://umassboston.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJcsc-qqpj0uHdzvcOHYTc7LSnDCefI3UQWU. The conversation will feature Dr. Mark Warren, founder of EveryBlackGirl Vivian Anderson, and the film's director Garrett Zevgetis, as well as youth leaders.

The event is co-sponsored by the Wellesley College Project on Public Leadership and the UMass Boston John W. McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies Department of Public Policy and Public Affairs.

On These Grounds traces a viral video of a white police officer assaulting a Black teenager seated at her desk, which sparked a national conversation and fueled a youth-led movement. The film shines a light on students, educators, and organizers who are creating an equitable, just future for Black girls everywhere.
