There are over 30,000 conservative Christian mothers in America who accept their LGBTQ+ children and have united under the “mama bear” banner. Although they may have grown up as evangelical Christians, these mama bears are willing to risk losing friends, family and faith communities to keep their children safe, loved, and in their lives. This heartfelt documentary explores the growing mama bear movement through the lives of three diverse mothers and their LGBTQ+ offspring.
