In the shadow of Quetta’s besieged Hazara community, where daily life is marked by fear and persecution, two extraordinary young women rise as symbols of resilience and strength. Shakira, a national karate champion, survived one of Pakistan's most devastating bombings—a 1000-kilogram explosion that claimed countless lives and left her grappling with physical and emotional scars. Yet, in the face of this tragedy, she has transformed her pain into power, emerging as an inspiration for those who refuse to be silenced by violence.

Beside her is Sabira, another remarkable Hazara karateka, whose relentless pursuit of excellence has taken her from a troubled neighborhood to the global stage. After winning a gold medal at the South Asian Games, Sabira now sets her sights on the Asian title, determined to prove that even in adversity, dreams can soar.

From Pain to Power intimately follows the journeys of Shakira and Sabira as they navigate the challenges of being Hazara women in a society that often marginalizes them. Through their dedication to karate, they defy the odds, break barriers, and fight not just for medals but for their right to exist and thrive. This documentary is a tribute to their indomitable spirit and a powerful testament to the resilience of a community that continues to rise, even in the face of relentless trials.
