Fleeing from their abusive and neglectful father, Link and his younger half-brother Travis set off in search of Link’s mother. Along the way they encounter Pasmay, a Mi’kmaw dancer, also estranged from his family. A growing attraction between Link and Pasmay, and exposure to Mi’kmaw culture, help Link see a future for himself.
