TIMOTHY: Pastor Lamont Taylor, his wife Treva, and their son, Timothy have worked diligently to create a place for all people to belong, at Liberty in God Church. Their ministry has become the beckon of life and love in the small town of Millington, TN. One snowy, Sunday afternoon all of that changes.
KARINA'S SUIT: Muete, an armed group deserter, travels to the city to visit his cousin Leonardo, who has now transformed himself into Karina, a woman who works as a prostitute. Muete tries to convince her to return to their town because her mother is very ill. The only condition: she has to go as Leonardo, mom would never accept son's new identity.
I LIVED A LIFE WITH YOU: A short loaded with love and extraordinary sensitivity that tells an atypical love story between an oncology patient and her nurse.
IT WAS THE DOG THAT SAVED MY LIFE: Toby the dog was the last living legacy of Kevin a long-lost lover who died of AIDS in the 90s. Through a print making process called photo lithography we relive the love and loss of Kevin and Jonathan.
MY AUNTIES: Stefan Lynch was raised by gay parents in the early eighties. He was cared for and loved by a group of adults, largely gay men, who he called his “aunties.” Stefan remembers the succession of AIDS-related illnesses in his family, including the death of his father in ‘91. Even in the face of terrible sickness and loss, his aunties showed him how to survive and care for one another.
TRANS OF THOUGHT: Trans of Thought is centered around the dynamic between a Trans identifying woman and a Cis lesbian identifying woman. They decided to go on a simple date, but all isn't so simple when the topic of disclosure is presented to both women. Through the eyes of both of the main characters, we get a first hand look at the ways in which dating, disclosure and gender identification are navigated. While also shedding light on the prevalent disconnect between members of the LGBTQ community.
