Under the radiant sun and tropical aroma of Little Haiti, a young girl gets bullied out of a playing field by a set of young boys, declaring it as a soccer patch, therefore making her dress shoes unfit to be on the field. A chance encounter with mother nature drives Farah to sell mangoes to buy a pair of cleats as she refines her skills as a soccer player all summer long. She returns, challenging the boys for the soul of the field. To the victor belong the spoils as a young adult Farah comes back to the field to reminisce on her childhood as she donates cleats to the next generation of boys and girls.
