A British-Sri Lankan man is forced to choose between pursuing his dream job abroad and taking care of his elderly grandmother who raised him.

Director Bio/Statement:

Rehan Mudannayake is an award-winning actor-writer-director, based in London. He stars as Shehan Soyza in Oscar-nominated director Deepa Mehta’s Netflix film Funny Boy, distributed by Ava DuVernay and ARRAY RELEASING. As director and writer, his shorts have screened at multiple international film festivals. His last short DIDI had its World Premiere at the Academy Award-Qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival in LA, as a part of the Official Selection. He is represented by Creative Artists Management in the UK.
