Kameishia Wooten, a visionary Writer and Director based in Los Angeles, has passionately crafted and directed seven short films, bearing a distinct focus on storytelling that is not only thought-provoking and inclusive but also carries a powerful uplifting and social message. Her most recent creation, "Choices," was selected for the inaugural WIF/Google Shorts Lab. This cinematic gem is currently making waves on the film festival circuit, having been honored as an Official Selection at this year's Oscar qualifying Hollyshorts Film Festival and Chicago International Children’s Film Festival. Kameishia was recently bestowed with the prestigious WIF Directing Fellowship, a commendable accolade supported by Netflix, and proudly participated as a Directing Fellow for the highly competitive 2022 Ryan Murphy's Half Initiative program.
