River of Small Gods
On the brink of eviction, a Hawaiian woman takes a job from a mysterious sculptor to retrieve stones from a riverbed deep in the forests of northern O‘ahu.
Healing Land, Healing People
In Hawaiian culture, each person has the kuleana (responsibility) to malama (care for) ʻāina (land). As Covid-19 brought Maui County's tourism industry to a halt and many faced the hardships of unemployment, more than 70 residents experienced a unique opportunity to engage in nature-based restoration projects and reinvigorated deep and meaningful connections to the ʻāina, and their own sense of purpose.
Gift of a Garden
Gardens can give us so much. Not just plants, but wisdom too.
The Unforgotten
From confederation, when colonial health policies were overt and deemed acceptable, to the present day where intolerance persists as culture and race-based bias in care, The Unforgotten explores the history of Canadian healthcare through an Indigenous lens.
Nisqually Moving Forward
Legendary tribal leader Billy Frank, Jr., dedicated his life to fishing and land rights in the Pacific Northwest. His son, Nisqually Chairman Willie Frank III shares a vision for a path forward during time spent on the river.
WITNESS
Native artists and historians explore the unique role trade blankets play in their families and communities.
Burros

When they learn their grandfather is ill, four cousins travel from their Indigenous Triqui immigrant community in California to their ancestral village in Mexico for the first time. The teenagers record videos to share with their family members, who are farmworkers in the U.S. Through a mixture of Spanish, Triqui, and English, they get to know their grandparents, aunts and uncles. The group of cousins forge a link across thousands of miles, with a newfound pride in their indigenous identity.
