The Grand Prix (Formula 1) is finally happening in Zandvoort, a small town in the Netherlands. 18-year-old Michael and his mother can hardly wait for the big event. Or so his mother believes. She is convinced that the introverted Michael is a huge race fan, just like his father who passed away not too long ago. Michael usually stays up in his room and doesn’t seem to have many friends. Worried about her son’s happiness, she is determined to give him the time of his life.
