Goblin portrays two sisters coping with the recent death of their Mom. Our main character, nicknamed Goblin, embodies her name in every way. She is sly, mischievous, and rough around the edges, but would do anything to protect her younger sister, Brandy. This is put to the test when Brandy acts out during school and shoves another student after being bullied. Goblin does her best to defend her sister, but her insecurities and fears regarding her newfound guardianship rise to the surface. Afterwards, Goblin lashes out at Brandy and immediately regrets it. They both admit they’re struggling and find comfort when they return home and plant their Mom’s favorite flowers.
