On a perfect Santa Barbara day the illustrious Amanda Cara sets her trophy husband about the task of getting her an "indoor tree" but he gets bombarded by his friend shaming him, her hot brother bullying him, a romantic threat to his marriage, his bank account drawing empty, and worst of all burnt cookies. He's gotta suck it up and accomplish his trendy task despite his entire lifestyle being thrown into jeopardy.

Canada as a nation, is known for its vast nature, peacekeeping and overall, being a vibrant cultural mosaic. However, it is only now that Canadians are looking back at its dark history of racism. Minority groups, such as the Black and Latino communities often face heavy racial discrimination, especially in the GTA. Passing It Down depicts how visible minorities are victims of those in authority. Through heartbreaking stories of being choked out and the teachers doing nothing about it or being accused of dealing drugs by the principal and police. Their stories of racial discrimination and prejudice are unfortunately being passed down to the younger generations of Canada.

Transmitiéndolo (Passing It Down)

An undocumented high school senior, Elena, gives tips on how to get her professionally frustrated History teacher to write her a much needed letter of recommendation for college. Her teacher, Paco, in turn gives tips on how to avoid student requests so he can focus on being a lazy teacher. It's a story which juxtaposes two generations of Latinos struggling in completely different ways, and comedically shows our current challenges in the world of education.
