A short film about the consequences of trying to be honest in the process of leaving your hometown. This film chronicles the formative summer of a 17-year old girl, Ofelía (Felí), living in a small North Florida town. Throughout the film Felí navigates accepting and defining herself as a Catholic Mixed-Race Woman of Color in a predominantly white community right in the heat of America’s Protestant Bible-Belt.
