Tumba Del Mar is a story of grief, love, and the emotional struggle to attain an immigrant's idea of the American Dream. In the wake of Fidel Castro’s death, Rosa, a Cuban immigrant who arrived in the US during the 90s rafter crisis, continues to grapple with a life alien to her after losing her husband on their journey over.

Brianna, Cathy and Gabe Beltran are enjoying their Sunday at home watching a soccer game when suddenly, two ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) officers barge in and inform the family that they are being detained due to their illegal status. Brianna ensures the officers that they are citizens, leading the ICE agents to give the family 5 minutes to look for their passports.

My Grandmother’s Door follows Ana, a young, Mexican-American woman who impulsively drives across multiple state lines to the abandoned childhood home of her recently deceased grandmother. While she roams the house she has an epiphany to take the front door back with her as an heirloom. In this process she clashes with a local altar boy where she discovers that the Catholic Church now owns the property.
