Melinna Bobadilla (Moderator) is a Xicana actor born & raised in Los Angeles who is focused on shifting the paradigm of Latinx representation on screen. She prides herself on also being an educator, activist, and public speaker committed to engaging and growing in anti-racist praxis.  She is known for her work in Orange is The New Black, Little America, Grand Hotel, the 50th anniversary revival of Zoot Suit and The Laundromat.  Melinna is the proud daughter of parents who immigrated to Los Angeles from Mexico.

 

Jumko Ogata-Aguilar is an AfroJapanese and pocha writer from Veracruz, Mexico. She is currently writing her undergraduate thesis in Latin American Studies at UNAM. She writes fiction, essays and movie critiques, has been published by Revista de la Universidad, Vogue Mexico and the British Council of Mexico, and is currently a columnist for CoolHuntermx. Her work focuses on identity, racialization and racism in Mexico. She has taught antiracism workshops for Facebook, Mexico’s department of Culture as well as non-profits in Mexico and the US.

 

Tenoch Huerta Mejía is a Mexican actor. He has appeared in a number of movies in Latin America and Spain, starring in both feature films and short films. He is one of the actors featured in Mónica Maristain's book 30 Actors Made in Mexico. In 2009, he appeared in Cary Joji Fukunaga's film Sin nombre in the role of Li'l Mago, leader of the Tapachula faction of the notorious Mara Salvatrucha gang. In 2018, he began portraying Rafael Caro Quintero in Netflix's Narcos: Mexico

 

Horacio Garcia-Rojas is a skilled actor with 14 years’ experience having worked in more than 22 films, the latest being Cry Macho as the antagonist alongside Clint Eastwood. Top roles in series include Narcos Mexico (Netflix), Diablero (Netflix), Narcos vs Zombies (Amazon Prime – in post-production). Passion for and experience in theater. A creative dedicated to his craft that embraces new narratives and projects that emphasize inclusion.
