In 1998, a cardboard box full of diaries was found in a pile of rubbish. Written by a man called Dick Perceval, these diaries vividly detail a life lived in Berlin in the 1920s, and at Bletchley Park in World War Two. They record the turbulence of a disastrous marriage and hint at dark secrets. They tell of love, loss, war, family, ambition and disappointment. To Be Continued is a documentary web series that uses archive footage to bring Dick Perceval’s story to life. A cast of hundreds is drawn from Hollywood films, public information broadcasts, cine club creations, and home movies to tell the extraordinary story of the life of an ordinary man.
