The film tells the story of Hungarian troops allied with the Third Reich, stationed around Warsaw in the summer of 1944. The Hungarians secretly negotiated with the Warsaw Uprising command the passage of a powerful (20,000 soldiers) and a well-armed Hungarian unit to the Poles. If the negotiations were successful, the fate of the uprising could have been different. The narrator is Istvan Elek, who participated in the negotiations and the assistance that the Hungarians provided to the Warsaw insurgents.
