It would be difficult to describe the fascination that Julek experienced while watching the performance of the Krakow choir for the first time. Despite his autism, he is not an excluded. He participates. He comes to rehearsals, he claps the rhythm, and he sings. At home, he and his mother learn lyrics, which often causes personal, emotional tensions. “Julek” is a film about the need to be in the world, despite his inherent sense of difference, loss, and the unavoidable farewells.
